Microwave Digestion of Sewage Sludge according to EPA 3051A

For the digestion of sewage sludge in accordance with EPA 3051A, HNO₃ is required. Alternatively, an acid solution consisting of HNO₃ and HCl can be used in order to stabilize analytes such as Ag, Ba, Fe and Al. When using the speedwave XPERT for this digestion process, DAP-100X vessels are required.
