The stable several millimeter thick PTFE lining encompass not only the reactor vessel. Also the reactor lid is covered with a stable PTFE lining. The dip tube of the thermocouple is PFA coated and all other parts which are in contact with the medium are also made from PTFE. Therefore Berghof reactors offers a unique way to handle highly corrosive media without contamination of the sample or destruction of the reactor.
