TFMTM-PTFE Vessels
Vessels from Berghof significantly reduce the running costs for microwave digestions. Due to high-quality processing and outstanding lifetime, the cost per digestion for Berghof vessels is € 0.30 only.
In comparison: Vessels from other vendors generate average costs of € 1.00 per digestion. This means that the running costs can be reduced by approx. € 7,000 for 10,000 digestion cycles.

Corrosion protection reduces repair costs
In operation, all vessels are connected to a gas collection system, which collects any acid vapors released and fed to the exhaust air. Optionally neutralized in a neutralization unit. This effectively prevents acid vapors from entering the furnace chamber and thus corrosion of various sensors and components. This reduces repair costs significantly.
Solvent Safety
For heating highly flammable solvents in a microwave field, special safety precautions are required. An air flow monitor and a solvent sensor are integrated in the exhaust connection. This exhaust unit can be easily installed or removed in tow simple steps.
This makes the conversion from a digestion to an extraction system extremely simple.

Stirring
A magnetic stirrer below the oven cavity agitates stirring bars in each vessel. Stirring is recommended for solvent extraction in order to improve recoveries and reproducibility.
Carboflon heating elements
Heating elements made of 25% Graphite in PTFE readily absorb microwave irradiation and thus improve heating performance with non-polar solvents. Simply add one piece into each vessel. Could also be used together with stirring bars
